Dakos ~ Traditional Cretan Rusk with tomato, feta cheese and oregano
The most well known Cretan Rusk, usually wheat, is also known as “koukouvagia”, (owl).
Accompanied with tomato, feta cheese, olive oil, oregano, and some salt.
• 1 Cretan wheat Rusk
• 1 ripe tomato
• 100gr crumbled feta cheese
• Felea olive oil
Moisten the rusk with 3-4 tbsps of water
Grate the tomato into a colander and leave in for 5 minutes to drain
Sprinkle some FeleaGoods® Extra Virgin Olive Oil on to the rusk
Spread the grated tomato on the rusk and add the feta cheese
Sprinkle with some salt and oregano
Drizzle with more olive oil and serve
